"i suggest three reasons for this, one, the sultanates could be said to have been historically responsible for the subjucation of Malaya to foreign imperial forces.theirs have been the original treaties with the british,of course but...bla bla bla.the Malayan Union proposal was accepted by the sultanates after after japs occupation.duh!it was the rakyat who had risen and defended these buffoons.so protector of the people hung loose.

second, sultans are above the law.long story short easy to take advantage.sultans are bloody rich.seeking royal patronage seemed norm among businessmen which had meant the mat sallehs and yes the sepets before independence.

thirdly, sultanates provided the malay with a crap called daulat....bla bla bla.that must have made Mahathir's blood boil"

from the book " A Malaysian Journey" words of Rehman Rashid had been modified by me.the isis are all there

i decided to wrote this down because i did remembered once(this is a long time ago) a politician( not from BN,i think it was mat sabu) played an issue on Mahathir's move to revoke the sultans power.well,he doesn't actually succeeded but the sultans ain't kebal no more.ok some justice.so they can't go on a killing spree no more.or kill one or two,or hurt them or whateverla

anyway, here i am back at home!yup, nothing beats having to break fast at home.especially after a long hard day be it work or study!yummy.plus,i'm no big fan of pasar ramadhan.i just love to keep it simple for berbuka.i go but i don't bring back tonnes of goodies.usually my granma made her delicious karipap("currypuffs sounds to puffy) and my cuppa of hot tea to break things up~bliss!i'm no fan of iced water for berbuka.nope...i felt rather disturbed if i don't have a hot tea or just plain water!most of my collegue went home today.some to the extend of skipping todays morning classes for the masses(sounds pretty nice...rhymes!).as far a kedah tu.balik sebab nak berbuka kat rumah!lovely

so i have been keeping quiet lately in my own world.sometimes i just got to focused on doing things.lupakan yang lain~suddenly the crappy words of Daia slingshots into my head.quite an issue with some people.hey,i'm sorry(obviously taking advantage of the holy month).i'm just well...me!hehee.jauh di mata dekat di hati.usah risau kalian saya ingati.even though like it looks like i don't care the fact is i do!i do cherish you~98 degress.erk!what?hello?98 degress?

haha...it funny how guys usually say crap stuff and s*** about boy bands.the secret is they do listen to these when ladies aren't around.konon layan lagu ganas-ganas aja.MACHOla tu konon.blimey!there is always the softer side.hahaa~remembered the part ac mizal the head honcho of a gang, weeps and sang the ramlah ram tune"sukarnya...bagiku"~i remembered this song as well.juara lagu 80's!~hahah...from the film BULI.urmm,i watched "Janji Joni" during the no water period.recently, the longest yard.hillarious remake!one of the originals is in there!hahaa
.i hope the malaysian movie scenes will flourish.we do have an emerging pool of talents.thank Allah for that!and yes gone with the old ones.i just had enough of them!

so that would be all for today folks.i swore i had an moment of writing inspiration before my fridays prayers showers.nvermind, maybe next time!ok till nxt time adios amigos!

not so great news.my maths result was wayyy...aaayyyeee of the beaten track!i faired urmmmm rather slighty lower than the average.i didn't failed by the school standard but failed by my standards.well, you win some and you lose some.i'll try to get even by the finals and hopefully score and score as can be!hehee.anyway,it felt good that my lecturer kindly asked me on which part i'd crumbled(in my own words here).ooooohhhh he notices me one ah?i'm always up to date with the tutorials.i love numbers.ironically my result doesn't say so.these things.....happens for a reason.i'm more than surprised with my C++ with the bulk of students failing miserably i got a humble B!hehee.alhamdulillah.i'll try to do better next time around.so far i only got 2.i wonder how are the other gonna look like?

so election is over and yep i'm in the varsity student body.hillarious!me?kahkahkah.i guy who swore he wants nothing to do with campus politics now sittimg in the front line!hahaaaa(hope i don't get a head shot!i've been killing bots lately).maybe i can practise stuff from the book of power.i wish i'd be timothy hunter instead.then i can practise stuff from the books of magic.the original thing before the HP.well, neil gaiman is neil gaiman and JK Rowling is well her.both very distinguished writers.different style and way way different flair.they spoke the same word.magical words!nuff said.

yet again i'm writing and posting this from a MAC so.i can't change the font size or put colours because the buttons are missing!apparently, blogspot here ain't a multiplatform.sad la dey!(say it indianly)am still wondering bout rafiqa and how furious she is with me?ermmm....frankly right now still unsure of chatting with her.God!her writing sure showed animosity towards me!kecut perut saya....well,still gotta face reality.seriously, iwalking on a tight rope of friendship is hard.well gotta chiow.mates calling off for lunch!

domo arigato.thanks for reading

"This is the answer.Don't say you're number one.Say you're last. You will be happy"

"I agree,"I said."All my troubles began when I said I was number one."

"That was when you were foolish,"he said
-Rehman Rashid "A Malaysian Journey"

so one of my pals has serious issue(s) with me.i can't help but feel guilty as charged but it will just be gone.i'm not saying that because i can't be bothered.i admitted my mistake(s)(okay i dindn't call her yet and asked for apology, dude its early in the morning.you don't call someone who is pissed at these hours don't ya?i did SMSed and put up a public apology~er...not so guyish afterall.ya i'm 60% female.i did this online test thingy...kahkahakhaakaak.) i think that part comes because i'm just a guy.one of the things that sets a man and a women is this aspect.well,i just think so!and suria is pissed with her work i guess.and thank you for the blog dedication.irina was pissed with me yesterday and i had a fair share of her "dum dee dum krash boom bang!bang!bang!fire in the hole".....wrath.ah!the part and parcel of life inc.(i just add it up!sounds cool huh?)fuhhh...now,i think this all makes sense!hahaa.musim agaknya.6 degrees of differences!hahahhaaaaaa.

so yup i'm in the running for a JPP position.election?this monday!thanked God no speeches.i had that oppurtunity once only to be booted after winning due to the "incident".hahahahaaaa....we'll just look and see the outcome.initially,i was not even on the list.magically,my name was on it!hhhmmmppppphhhh....makes me wonder?wonder wonder wonder?shaq the wonderer!wondering wondering wondering....

today,i attended a gig in state pj in this one indian joint.i was a malay gig held in an indian joint.talk about irony!hahahhaaa.....for starter the few startings lineups bored me to death.i basically went to visit oooo z~zland!the first band up was too...urm urm sounds to spacy.spacy as in space!
nama band pon angkasa maya or was it angkasa raya!to experimental.and the gadgets the use.boleh bukak kedai!then there are some hardcore bands up.i can't unserstand the words(which is normal)but the sound is horrendous.i can figure out the sound.not well complimented.the music is loud thats for sure but still a great music or song the instuments has to compliment each other.luckily,my friend joe and his mates does not dissapoint my eardrums!(and they had fans and groupies!macam rockstar)yup, its hardcore but i can capture the sounds.drum lines, bass lines and etc.excellent!the band before them had a superb drummer and an excellent drumline.names?can remember any!now i'm having a gig hangover!its been years since i last attended these things!hahaaa.....i felt old!DOPE!

now i'm very mengantuk and i've assembled my hi-fi yet again in the room with some changes.so i guess i'll be lullabied by norah jones tonight!so peeps have fun enjoy life!feel free to curse in your blogs and reduce your stress levels.rafiqasan i know you're mad and pissed with me but i like that picture you posted up!cool.like Jumy said "Jangan la amik ati sgt."will yah?err Jumy need help here...hahahaaakakaka

weird

pelik tapi benar.busy la tu.suria tak blog!awek cun an ini adalah kawan saya yang bakal berkahwin.suria ni putih macam casper sebab dia ala~ala putih glow in the dark!tapi waktu kat sekolah rendah dulu dia...

Sekian sahaja cerpen BM saya.

God I think my former BM teachers would shed blood tears upon knowing my state of BM has deteriorated immensely!hahaa. My English is a way of pace compared to my SPM years!

I had a dream last night.I met Jumy.He showed me his new phone.Urm,not exactly the W800i but its funny. We used to have VCR tape covers for our pencil cases.I'm my dream ,Jumy had the cover as a pencil case,a walkman discman and yes as a phone!hahaaa. It was yellow in colour.
There is a small slide open compartment to all the play stop skip etc button.hahaaa.the usual gizmos.I didn't see an infrared or USB port or other ports. The phone speaker is on the side.Macam N-gage tu!hahaaaa....macam-macam.Not exactly a wired world Shafik but hey....oklah tu.

So till lain kali.Teruskan kehidupan anda dgn ceria.Tata

Sedikit Jenaka

Laughter rises out of tragedy, when you need it the most, and rewards you for your courage. *Erma Bombeck*

A 17 year-old girl tells her Mum that she has missed her period for two
months. Very worried, the mother goes to the chemist and buys a pregnancy
test. The test is positive Shouting, swearing, crying, the mother says,
"Who was the bastard that did this to you? I want to know! The girl picks
up the phone and makes a call.

Half an hour later a Ferrari stops in front of their house; a mature and
distinguished man with grey hair and impeccably dressed in an Armani suit
steps out of the Ferrari and enters the house. He sits in the living room
with the father and the mother, and the girl and tells them:

"Good morning, your daughter has informed me of the problem. I can't marry her because of my personal family situation but I'll take charge. I will pay all costs and provide for your daughter for the rest of her life.
Additionally, if a girl is born I will bequeath her 2 retail stores, a townhouse, a beachfront villa and a £2,000,000 bank account.
If a boy is born, my legacy will be a couple of factories and a £4,000,000 bank account.
If twins, they will receive a factory and £2,000,000 each.
However, if there is a miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?"

At this point, the father, who had remained silent, places a hand firmly on
the man's shoulder and tells him,
"You f*ck her again."

Mirror mirror on the wall

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all. *Edward D Bono*

Fusheh it was a busy week.In fact, tomorrow(more like today already!) there is a gotong-royong at my "beloved" college.Freaks!First it it Sunday....2nd.People just don't wake up early on Sunday mornings(except when I was in school because we have classes on Sundays)...they truly don't get the concept of Sunday mornings.Like I said I had a busy week.Mid-sem + assignments. These days I don't have much this to yap about apart from studies and things related to study.I bore myself.Furthermore,I think I'm starting to bore my working class friends!hahahaa...Plus someone "kindly" calonkan me for JPP!hahahaaaa....I had my fair share of such things way way way wayyyyyy back then just to be exiled in the hands of Mehat! And yes Jumy shared the same fate.....kuang kuang kuang

So I had a session with my cousin.I teach(sometimes preach!) more like tutoring my couz.He asked me "Along, what is pantulan?"...."Hah pantulan tak tau!Pantulan tu reflectionla.Kalau you tengok cermin kan nampak yourself.Itulah pantulan"...Suddenly I wondered what if there is another parallel world within the mirror. An exact opposite instead of our image reflection!Cool.Probably no chaos.Maybe I'm good at other things other than numbers.Maybe I'm a poet or a short novelist(I went to Zurinah Hassan's house tadi...that just popped out) Maybe its fill with wizards as well, sorcerer ke?Then what about the mirror within the mirror?Another world perhaps?Serupa tapi tak sama?Hhhmmppp interesting.Probably inside Siti Norhaliza is famous for being the lousiest singer!Hahaaaa you wish!Mawi tu drag queen ke?!hahaaaa....jangan marah ye Mawi World!

Oh!I wanted to type something wait wait I'll go get that piece of information(Shafik left the PC and walks to the room...)

(Shafik is back!) I got this from a textbook actually. The history of the world "bug" synonimous with the wired world folks.Alkisah...

A program stopped running on the Mark 1 at Harvard Uni on Sept 1945,Grace Hopper traced the malfunction to a dead insect that had gotten into the electrical circuits. She recorded the incident in her log book at 15:45 hours as "Relay #70...[moth] in relay.First actual case of bug being found"

Hence the word "bug"!Itu je.We often use it in programming without thinking about it.In fact as we type using this keyboard pon data being transfered and we don't really think how things work. For starters here is a good link.Tetan aje.Menarik!I shall not elaborate on that. Can read.Tanya aja Pakcik Google utk maklumat +++.

Till next time.....

Wait wait suddenly idea comes.Remember the movie "Back to the Future 2" where car flies and all?I noticed birds weren't around.Maybe since we have to share the skies these birds decided not to fly.Takut accident!Similarly like stray dogs and cats!Perhaps they evolved at can fly much higher! If human take their domain what is the fun being a bird! They can't bombard us with their shit if we piss them off!(Even if we don't piss them off chances are kena BOMB!esp kat 15 haahaaaaa....poor Zano.Kisah-kisah silam) or maybe the had enough of flying they decided to walk on land instead or maybe they decided to share the seas and be like ducks instead main air pulak!Maybe nanti we have birds hitchin a ride in our flying cars, trucks and such that birds have a high rate of death due to obesity!Sebab dah malas terbang!hahhahaaaaa.Lemak pon bertambah! Then animal activies will protest on the effects of flying cars. Then all hell broke lose....hhhmmmmpp

Fell free to contribute to my sci-fi flick!hahahahaaa.Till next time.

Love is all around

Met Rafiqa and Nujuii last weekend.Complained of my kekurusan.Well some thing grow into fat some just powers mind and drains any existing fat!hahahaaa.Like I got any?lol

Hmmpph,I watched a clip of a women being exorcised.Haunts me still!I'm not new to these things.Sorry I forget the link!I watched the downloaded version on my friends PC.Some should made thesis on this.Well,I think memang dah ada!I once followed dad to an Ustaz because I got problem with my temper.Astonishing and what an awfully painful experience indeed(well for me!).We all have these things inside us.Trust me on this.WE ALL DO!We're even born with a Qa'rin. Our evil twin.I knew some stories on these "X-FILES".Shivers.....

curiosity killed the cat

curiosity killed the cat.worth it?i believed so.i often asked why? and how? to my lecturers.yep,i(and my classmates) do get bashed (literally) quite often but its all worth it especially during lab hours!finally some sense.i loved the fact that my silly q's are often answered and they all make sense.mosy of the time its you who answered the q's yourself.you ask the lecturer and they ask you back?well,if you are wrong they correct you and if you are right, you get the thumbs up(and with the usual, tahu pon!).its all within, just need some digging and we all do need the confidence boost.do't ya think?most of us are just so used to things in theory and we just don't know how things really do work the feel and such.famous words of Madam"Kalau nak senang, takut nak make mistakes in studying engineering pergi amik business.Tak payah jadi engineer!"not to undermind those who did business studies or in that field just if your hearts not there buzz of.no point!i'm saying this in my perspective and my point of view.

on a lighter note,i'm off for the whole week!no water due to the oil spill.mid-sem postponed.kerja tertangguh.sucks actually,i'm looking forward for math(my strong subject)...so when things aren't done as planned well that's fate!planned but things just happen.

thank God irina is safe.apparently, someone broke into her rented home(she was alone and asleep) in shah alam.that indian hitam keling paria was at the penjuru katil!dia terjaga and screamed like nobodys business.he panicked and ran(alhamdulillah dia lari!)she is SAFE(alhamdulillah!) and VERY pissed and i'm pissed because it was due to the ignorant of her house mates of not locking up the grill(as usual!).she always reminded them to do so(in fact she bought them them the LOCK and duplicated keys for them all!) guess what?after all that, they have the guts just to ask on safety of their belongings and only that!these people are so miopic minded and bloody ignorant.GERAM!i hope irina scores in her upcoming interview.so she can move on and get a live elsewhere.insyaAllah

art?gimme a break

i don't know why people of yester years have an obsession with nude art!i think those painters are some bunch of perverts.how can a nude women be an art?they claim its art but actually i think they are taking advantage.okay they are nude paintings of men, still mostly women.hhmmpp i think men are mostly made up into sculptures instead.these artist sure knows how to enjoy a free panoramic view!art yeah right...phleah

still they do score free views.brilliant!

rear view mirror

i often see the view of the outside world apart from the usual suspects,i sometimes just love seing things via the rear view mirror.you'd be surprised!the most often things i saw was people picking their nose!yup.i did saw a wife(assuming she is) massaging the husband's head.how sweet.never saw people quarreling via my rear view mirror.usually i do this when traffic is at the red stop.besides mostly its during the rush hours.so traffic is pretty slow.preeeeetty slow.you you our jams!most of them well just watchout their windows and i don't know dreaming perhaps?i think i caught a couple exchanging a few quick kisses!hahaaa.love is in the air.

suria is in catsville.no wonder her blog accidentally stop!I think i just got so stuck and stuck in the mambo jumbo mid sem!argh!ideas don't run wild these days.result! boresville.so to my friends yg tgh exam or goin to...semoga score!ok.as for the others may your days be filled with happiness, joy and more laughter.salute!

reinventing

when one gets less interesting,i do think people will just run away and seems to forget ya!some labelled as freaks just because he gets less interesting or changes the way he or she thinks.as human we are all freaks.constantly reinventing ourselves.of course we have too.now that is what i call evolution. We all do don't we?

i hated the fact once brought by a former collegue saying that i just have to stick to being me.yup, plain old me."stay the same".there is a song titled stay the same.nah!just ain't for me.people do change.some reallize it and most don't.maybe just a little bit, some drastic and some drastic and frantic!why?there is just so much factor.time, environment etc etc.Allah wants us to change Be a better person day in and day out.A better person tomorrow.Even better the day after!InsyaAllah.Ultimately, that should be back in the minds of Muslims.

i love seeing this process of evolution friends and foes, family, collegues alike!i'm proud that one of me mates got the honorary royal scholarship, jumy stamped his mark in the papers.i have hope and dreams of making it big.i'm setting my sights already.we all should don't we?i shall enter miss sunshine.penat dia and rakan2 tour campus.in the near future.i've been collecting ideas for the past year.ilmu je tak cukup lagi!no worries...insyaAllah my time will come.

i'm done penning down my thought for today.and i can't make my words go bigger since i'm using MAC and most of the buttons are missing!wishing all happiness and joy.tataaa

nak exam

so next week is my bloody mid sem.ok fine but someone should give a knock-knock to some of our lecturers gleefully and happily passing more assignments prior to the exam.yaeh yeah blimey me,so blame it on the tight schedule.duh!

so yet again i managed to shed some light upon myself the the electronics world and realm!kahkhakah.come to think of it sometimes it mimics chemistry.we used to call it "sihir" back then.ok,i was not the subject,we regularly blame our "excellent" result on the teacher.yup, easier that way.in life most of us,yup humanly us tend to blame things on others.similarly, usually couples do and usually the man has to decide.if it turns out so~so or bad,gee...the guy has "to take credit" and vice-versa.i'm not biased.no worries.

on the other hand sometimes, you just have to do things your way just to get things done.it might not please others but go figure?!

till i babble some more.i wish you all happiness and more happiness in life!chiows

busting my brains out

last night i felt a sudden rush of emptiness of fresh new ideas.not just on ideas but i lost the feel of seeing things in other perspective, other views.god i hated that feeling.

introducing on the left is rafiqa and on the right is mr jumy.when i'm need of new things just to get my brain going well i hang out with them.these are my best buddies when it comes to busting brains.it been a while since we last hung out together.

today i went to uitm shah alam.watched jumy doing his usual stuff in his usual way in this years hacking competition.he won yesterday.today well a different category.and when he goes pointing out here and there,i just told myself...ok there he goes, another flag.somehow when i drove home i just felt my usual self coming back into me.i just got so caught up with work that i just forgot to see things my way.sometimes quite dreamy.i love to dream and fantasize things.dreaming is good.if you think of good stuff and positive things.it does help a lot!don't give up your dreams.you might as well be dead.

rafiqa the mathematician.her article on che is worth a mention.here is the link!she is now back in kluang.PTD,good for her.i hope one day she turns out to be the next trade and industry minister!hahaa.number suits her well.

now that i'm back on track i should not be worrying much on my grades, what is more important in giving it your all!the grades will come.later.work smart and work hard.minimal input maximum output.the higher the gain the better.problems are mere illusion to distract you.

this fine lady is my girlfriend!also the dreamer.a dream weaver.the reason i go head over heels!the one who loves kicking my butt!it fun merapuing with her.because she loves doing that as well.actually merapu is good.merapu with a cause.finding solutions in different manner.in different ways!it helps a lot.currently she is working in shah alam, and worst she is turning into one of them,so says kak sham.it good that she accepts the fact and its good that she kept on dreaming of an escape and be positive.because i'm sure she will make it!

so mid sem is over.its good that i'm back on track despite the upcoming hectic schedule.i'm more than happy! :D

till next time around.happy MERDEKA!

A cotton carder by profession, Dadu became a religious wanderer and preacher, settling for periods of time at Sembhar, Amber, and finally at Naraina, near Jaipur (Rajasthan state), which remains the centre of his following. Dadu rejected the authority of the Veda

This is Dadu, the capital city built by Khublai Khan, the fifth emperor of the Mongol Empire, in the latter half of the 13th century. Its appearance and the surrounding town have been reconstructed here. Dadu prospered as an international city, and Marco Polo visited the city and met Khublai Khan.

i read with such pleasure on NARATIF FILEM MELAYU BANGANG & MEMBANGANGKAN?
by Faisal Tehrani at kakiseni.com
.he is right.the current state of malay film is really really really bad.

so here i am again in front of the pc.wondering aimlessly in the cyber world.will the be a time when our cyber world gets so crammed?so jammed packed with stuff innit?what is the growth rate?infinity?miraculous who we humans progressed.what next?remember how i once asked about the similarity of a banana,a house fly and a human.we share 95% of the same DNA structure.my lecturer told us" see how god maximised the output with such minimal tweaking.similarly like a FET..."i'm surrounded with ustaz like lecturers.its good though.selalu dapat nasihat.humans we often forget

today jumy and co got 1st place in the hacking comp held in uitm.excellent!tumpang bangga. :D

i feel kinda bad for myself.for the past few weeks,i got so caught up with work i pratically forgot how to really think and utilize my brain effectively.i focused too much on the problem.problem is just an illusion.should take jumy's advice,on sitting back and relax and not just caught up in the rat race.i have to think the way i really think again.seeing thing from a different angle.appreciate and smell the problems and task given.find a smart solution.a week of sure does wonder.frankly,i missed my wacky classmates.funny?hahaaa.

unique

today i worked half day.actually i'm a part timer in CIMA.at least i'm doing something and getting paid doing it.as usual i had my dose of jumy and miss suria's blog.the take it easy mr thinker and the always sunshiny lady.for some reasons my template does not come out the way that i wanted so i can't click on enol's blog.bummer.and yes i'm too lazy to type the add.rafiqa and i always say that jumy is one of a kind.frankly,i rate this guy highly.one day he will make it big!and so do i.and so will you(only if you're reading this!).everyone has potential.everyone is smart.it is the community,it is the people that makes you think you don't!hahaaa.sounded bit like a politian...semangat Merdeka!i'm sure they will be showing P.Ramlee's "Sgt Hassan" or "Lft Adnan".

my mid semester break is drawing to an end.what the hell.we can't slow the time let alone stop it.jumy's latest entry was on the topic of convocation.well,i had mind.i wasn't too happy back then, knowing that i could have done better and such.now(not exactly now!) that i think about it i just smiled and feel releived knowing that i actually made it.now,a new challenge.hhmmphh, more like a journey.sounds sweeter!heheheeee

what makes a character unique?what makes a person great?is it their idea?is it because they are bloody smart?like beauty, everyone definesuniqueness differently.personally,i think everyone of us is bloody unique and that simply makes us.well us.we also share certain elements of similarity despite of our uniqueness.maybe so,so that we don't get carried away with our uniquess, braininess and other ~ness'!hahahaaaa.i sound like i'm going in circles don't i?life is a circle!hahahaaa.now thats pure fact baybeh.

i discussed this topic with irina last night.about having dreams and such.i have nothing against having bombastic dreams.i think it great to dream.well not those fetish dreams(and yg sewaktu dgnnya!).dreaming to be a millionaire, dreaming nak jd mcm oprah, nak pandai like ibn Sina, being a great leader, menteri go ahead, driving big cars or having dreams of making it REALLY BIG!if people think you are crazy, its ok coz i won't!muahahahahhahahaaaa....

an interesting comment

i copied and pasted this via jumy's blog(click me click me!)

hey.enjoy..reading ur blog ..la..wut ever..just wanna to share with u something that i felt that it’s good to be shared..actually terdetik kat hati after read ur post about sabahan girl..yup something like that..they are actually beutiful in nature right..it kept me wondering something about ‘cantik’..hmm..cantik..

kerana cantik…

beauty stands in the eyes of the beholder…
cantik di mata org, mungkin biasa shj di mata kita,
takrifan cantik itu sendiri, luas..subjektif kata org. Ada yg kata cantik di matanya, mulutnya..budi bahasanya…personalitinya…pendekkan kata yg panjang, ia bergantung pd penilaian manusia yg berbeza2.
Apa yg ada dlm tgn kita, syukurilah…dan lihat dunia dgn rs kesyukuran yg sama, baru terasa keindahannya..
Baru kelihatan cantiknya…

seorg kakak masa sekolah pernah mengingatkan aku, agar mengamalkan doa semasa melihat cermin..( yg aku selalu tak buat dr buat..ikss, lupa..=/), agar kita sentiasa insaf dan sedar, hinanya kita, buruknya kita..kalau hanya fizikal yg sempurna tapi rohani dan dalaman tak terpelihara. Nak ‘cantik dalam’ tu yg susah, dan tak ramai yg ada.

“..Ya Allah, perindahkanlah akhlak ku, sebagaimana Kau perindahkan kejadian ku…aminn.."- doa sms melihat cermin.

JANGAN KERANA CANTIK

Jangan kata aku cantik,
Bimbang di hati bangga terdetik,
Depan cermin asyik menilik,
Berbunga di hati, betul ke aku ni cantik ?

Jangan suka aku disebabkan cantik,
Kerana yang lahiriah tidaklah statik,
Kenali dan dalami aku baik – baik,
Keturunan dan keserasian penting selidik.

Jika kerana cantik aku dikelek,
Dicanang ditayang hilir mudik,
Aku tidak mahu diiktiraf awek,
Oleh lelaki berfikiran cetek.

Daripada kerap memuji cantik,
Lebih baik doakan aku perempuan baik,
Jangan melihat rupa yang molek,
Intan dan kaca bisa tersilap belek.

Jika ingin memuji cantik,
Hamburkan syukur pujian buat Pemilik.
Yang mencipta keindahan lagi menarik,
Maha Sempurna Tuhan, tiada cacat setitik.

Aku tidak damba pujian cantik,
Semuanya pinjaman, akan dipulang balik.
Di hari penentuan, dalam buku tercatit,
Apa dipergunakan, anugerah Tuhan yang cuma sedetik.

Harta dan pangkat aku tidak tertarik,
Pun tidak harap kerjayanya arkitek,
Berkereta mewah koleksi antik,
Tapi menyukai aku kerana cantik !

Yang aku doakan lelaki yang baik,
Sederhana penampilan, orang yang terdidik,
Memilih aku kerana di hatinya berbisik,
Inilah orangnya, bersama mimpi dilarik.

sharing is giving

I got this via a comment.Should share it with you peeps out there.

How Muslims should address the war on terror. We, as Muslims, know that the motivation for any so-called Jihadist activities is not a "hatred for freedom," but rather a reaction to foreign policies and the encroachment of the West on Islamic world. Is the violence justified? No. Is the violence the best reaction to the policies? No. Does the West want the violent reactions? Yes. Why? So the West can continue its encroachment on the lives of Muslims everywhere. What should Muslims do about it? Muslims in the world should drop the resistance and anger against the West. The greatest fear of policymakers in the West is not the violence; the violence can be quelled, but rather the explosive growth potential in the population of the Muslim World. Muslim nations have the youngest average age of all nations in the world, and therefore the greatest potential for population growth. This is what drives fear in the West and why it reacts with such hatred; the world through demographic change will become more Islamic by default. With the West bringing the war to the Islamic world and killing thousands of Muslims today, the West is actually killing hundreds of thousands if not millions of Muslims a few generations from now. This is at the heart of the West's war on terror agenda. The West must slow the growth of the world Islamic population. If there really is a war between the West and Islam right now, it will not be won or lost with guns, but rather birth rates. Demography is destiny. Muslims will only survive by living peacefully as the Quran teaches, and focusing on the growth and stability of the family as they have done for many generations.

facts

Why Have Muslim Scholars Been Undervalued Throughout Western History?

By Ahmad Bakir Tarabishy
One of history's greatest crimes is the almost complete omission of the debt the West owes to Islam and the Muslims.

The history books that fill our bookshelves are indispensable recollections of past civilizations’ glories and failures, achievements and abominations. Unfortunately, history can never be completely objective, since it is written by men, and men have a tendency to restrict their thoughts to a single point of view. While history has created in our minds many heroes from murderers, and criminals from saints, one of its greatest crimes is the almost complete omission of the debt the West owes to Islam and the Muslims. W. Montgomery Watt describes the problem:

Because Europe was reacting against Islam it belittled the influence of Saracens and exaggerated its dependence on its Greek and Roman heritage. So today an important task for us is to correct this false emphasis and to acknowledge fully our debt to the Arab and Islamic world. (Ghazanfar, Islamic World and the Western Renaissance)

Students in Western Universities might have heard that Muslims were once leaders in science, but their accomplishments are often belittled, and their scientists are reduced to but borrowers who translated Greek and Persian works then assumedly hid them on a bookshelf so the West can later expand and build on them once it awakes from its sleep during the dark age. Donald Cardwell, in the Fontana History of Technology, claims that technologies imported into Europe during the Dark Ages "originated in China and India and were merely passed on by the Arabs." While cultural bigotry plays a major role in this distortion of the facts, the achievements of the Muslims have been left out of Western historical records as a result of the hatred of Islam embedded in the Judeo-Christian world, which shall be traced to many factors.

Before thoughtlessly calling out "conspiracy" as many Muslims today so often do, one must show that the Muslims actually did have an integral role in scientific development. Due to the wealth of achievements, however, this is not very hard to find.

The book of Allah and the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) set the basis for an intellectual tradition in the Islamic world which relied on reason and honesty. The purpose of knowing the natural world in Islam is to reveal the signs that Allah set in his creation. "We shall show them Our portents on the horizon and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth" (The Holy Quran, 41:53). While Greek philosophy was based on the relativity of truth and change, in Islam, as Seyyed Hossein Nasr comments:

The arts and sciences came to possess instead a stability and a ‘crystallization’ based on the immutability of the principles from which they had issued forth; it is this stability that is too often mistaken in the West today for stagnation and sterility. (http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/med/nasr.html)

The Muslims made numerous advances in many fields, one the most important being physics. They received the physics texts of the Greeks, then translated, corrected, and expanded on them greatly. The basis of the study of optics can be attributed directly to the Muslims. Al-Hassen bin Al-Haythem is considered the founder of this field. He and Al-Beirouni also logically came to the conclusion, in disagreement with Aristotle, that the speed of light is constant and that light is composed of extremely small particles moving at extremely high speeds, which is the basis of the quantum nature of light, an endlessly celebrated tribute to 20th century science (Mahmoud 112-113; Davies 29).

Muslim scholars also laid the foundations of mathematics. Muslims were the first to recognize the importance of and use the zero effectively, borrowed from the Indians, bringing to Europe what is now called "Arabic numerals". Otherwise, the scientists and mathematicians of Europe would probably still be counting on their fingers or fumbling with clumsy roman numerals when analyzing data. Muhammad bin Mousa Al-Khawarizmi is considered the founder of modern algebra, and the mathematicians that followed made ever more impressive contributions. Ghiath Edden Al-Kashi, approximated pi to 16 places past the decimal point. The system know as Pascal’s triangle, which assists in factoring equations in the form of (a + b)n, was developed by Al-Karkhi, and not Louis Pascal. Later Muslim mathematicians were able to factor equations as complex as fourth degree equations; fifth degree equations are impossible to factor. (Mahmoud 137-147) The contribution of Muslim mathematicians to algebra is integral to the development of all sciences as mathematics is frequently referred to as the language of science. Newton would have had quite a difficult time quantitatively describing his laws of motion without using the algebra first implemented by the Muslims.

The Muslims made monumental strides in the practice and study of medicine. Ibn Sina’s text the Canon of Medicine, was used as a text in Europe for centuries later, and its popularity dwarfed the books of Galen and Hippocrates. Physicians like Abul Qasim al-Zahrawi, Ibn Sina, and Ali Abbas, wrote texts on surgery that would form the foundations of Western Surgery (Shustery 152-153). A story by the Muslim physician Usamah bin al-Manqaz serves as a good example of the superiority of Muslims doctors over their European contemporaries:

Among the marvels of the medical affairs on incident is this that Sahib Munitrah wrote to his uncle that there was need of a doctor to treat his companions. My uncle sent a Christian doctor, Thabit, to them, but he came back within ten days. We asked him, "Have you been able to treat the patients in such a short period?" He said, "They had brought to me a soldier who had a boil on one of his feet. When a bandage dipped in the juice of Linjah (a plant) was applied, the abscess got burst. There was another patient, a woman whose dry and chapped skin had developed itch and was giving her trouble. I kept her on a restricted diet as a preventive and tried to make her dry skin moist. But suddenly an English doctor appeared on the scene and told the people there about me, "What does he know of medical science and treatment of patients?" Then he asked the soldier with the abscess on his foot whether he would like to live with one leg or die with both. The soldier said he would prefer to live with one leg only. So the soldier and a sharp axe were brought and I was witness to this scene. The English doctor straightened his leg on a wooden board and asked the soldier (executioner, Tr.) to chop off his leg with a single stroke of his axe. He made a stroke with the axe, and I was a witness to that, and found that it failed to sever the leg. So he made a second attempt. The bone marrow was thrown out and the patient died immediately.

The author then reveals how the English doctor poured water on the woman with dry skin, and she too died a sudden, painful death. (http://www.erols.com/gmqm/sibai10.htm)

While historians have written many books on the high level of sophistication and learning of the Muslims compared to the Europeans during the dark ages, few have thought to make the connection between Muslim science and the scientific explosion that was to occur later in Europe. The dependence of the latter on the former, however, is immense. It would not be controversial to say that the scientific revolution that took place in 17th Europe could not have occurred without the help of the Muslims.

The maelstrom brought upon Europe by the intellectual tradition taken from the Muslim world had far-reaching consequences on European life. Slowly as education spread throughout Europe, with Universities arising in the major cities, the authority of science grew exponentially. Even the powerful Church of Rome would soon go down as it foolishly tried to challenge rationality and scientific proofs with superstitions and the fading doctrine of papal authority. The West would take this tradition and run amok with it, venturing in directions never before taken by humanity. Soon Europe, which was during Islam’s golden age dismissed by Ibn Khaldun as "those parts", had superseded the Muslim World in every way imaginable: scientifically, militarily, economically, and administratively. (Eaton 32-33)

However, a perplexing relationship existed between the Muslim world and Europe. It was not one of mutual reverence and respect, nor was it one of a father-culture, daughter-culture nature. There was an overpowering sentiment of hate embedded in European culture that outweighed any benefit or advancement the Muslims would give to them.

For hundreds of years the Muslims would take a permanent place in the forefront of the European mind. Wave after wave of Muslim armies crashed into Europe, coming with superior military training, unseen technology, and a culture alien to all what the European knew. Gai Eaton explains:

The "menace of Islam" had remained the one constant factor amidst change and transformation and it had been branded on the European consciousness. The mark of that branding is still visible… "The fact remains", says the Tunisian writer Hichem Djaït, "that medieval prejudices insinuated themselves into the collective unconsciousness of the West at so profound a level that one may ask, in terror, whether they can ever be extirpated from it." (30-31)

This fear would turn into hate and aggression as Europe regained its strength. The Muslims also would serve as a means for Europe to do so. These "pagans" as Europeans saw them, would be the perfect enemy for Europeans to rally together. They did so, quite pathetically, in the crusades. The crusades, in terms of human losses, were one of the most lopsided military campaigns in history, with the exception of the savage massacres of Muslim civilians by the Christian armies. However, the crusades, initially being a crushing defeat for the Christians, would introduce them to the enormity of the gap between them and the Muslims.

At the same time, Europeans scholars were learning at the hands of the Muslims in Spain. The translated Greek works would intoduce the Europeans to an indigenous intellectual tradition they never knew existed. This helped spark a new self-confidence among the scholars of Europe. Unfortunately, the scholars of Europe were torn between their intellectual loyalty and the strong hatred of their teachers present in their culture. Karen Armstrong explains:

The Arabs in particular were a light to the Christian West and yet this debt has rarely been fully acknowledged. As soon as the great translation work had been completed, scholars in Europe began to shrug off this complicating and schizophrenic relationship with Islam and became very vague indeed about who the Arabs really were… There is an unhealthy repression and doublethink about people who are at one and the same time guides, heroes, and deadly enemies. This is very clear in the scholarship about Islam. (64-65, 225-226)

This hatred, however, was, for the most part of Islamic history, one-sided. The Muslims had little reason to hate, or even to be concerned about Europe. To them it was a land of barbarism and backwardness, of a foreign landscape and weather. The battle of Poiters, for example, is considered by the Europeans as one of the major turning points in history, where the French armies repelled a Muslim raid into southern France. However, rarely is the battle mentioned by Muslim historians, and when mentioned it has been described as but a trivial raid. (Armstrong 42)

Another factor that plays alongside the long-standing hatred of Islam in Europe is the phenomenon known as orientalism. This concept was first articulated by Edward Said in his landmark book Orientalism, which is now considered required reading for anyone studying Middle Eastern culture or history. Orientalism is the result of the elaboration of the imaginary distinction between East and West: geographically, culturally, morally, and intellectually. The result of orientalism are claims that go along the lines of " ‘We’ are like this, but ‘they’, for unexplainable reasons, are fundamentally different, and in due course, inferior." This in turn serves as justification for "Us" to rule "Them", to exploit "Them", to guide "Them" to our enlightened ways. Academic orientalism gave rise to arrogant, seemingly humanistic ideals which drove imperialism, whose effects are felt very painfully in the Muslim, as well as most of the third, world. As Said explains it:

It [orientalism] is… a distribution of geopolitical awareness into aesthetic, scholarly, economic, sociological, historical, and philological texts; it is an elaboration not only of a basic geographical distinction (the world is made up of two unequal halves, Orient and Occident) but also of a whole series of "interests" which, by such means as scholarly discovery, philological reconstruction, psychological analysis, landscape and sociological description, it not only creates but also maintains; it is rather than expresses, a certain will or intention to understand, in some cases to control, manipulate, even to incorporate, what is a manifestly different (or alternative and novel) world; it is, above all, a discourse that is by no means in direct, corresponding relationship with political power in the raw, but rather is produced and exists in an uneven exchange with various kinds of power, shaped to a degree by the exchange with power political (as with a colonial or imperial establishment), power intellectual (as with reigning sciences like comparative linguistics or anatomy, or any of the modern policy sciences), power cultural ( as with orthodoxies and canons of taste, texts, values), power moral (as with ideas about what "we" do and what "they" cannot do or understand as "we" do). Indeed, my real argument is that Orientalism is—and does not simply represent—a considerable dimension of modern political-intellectual culture, and as such has less to do with the Orient than it does with "our" [Western] world. One may ask after looking at the reasons why Muslim scholars are vastly undervalued in Western books is "Why should we care now?" The scholars are dead. The ink in the history books has dried. What good will it bring Muslims, besides a headache, to raise this issue now? It is done to restore confidence to the Muslim Ummah, to remind believers what is needed to be great again. The Muslims ruled from France to India, not only because of being blessed with the true message, but also of being superior to the conquered people in all other "worldly" ways. The Muslims would have never conquered the Persians without superior military planning and tactics. The people of the Roman Empire in greater Syria and North Africa would have never converted to Islam if the Muslims were not materially superior to the Romans. The Khatib who gives the Friday sermon, who believes that Muslims will become great again once they start using their miswaks more often, is missing the whole story. Islam does not spread through prayer and piety—people go to the Jannah through prayer and piety. Islam provides a system that allows individuals to reach their fullest potentials in this life, and to encourage worship that allows individuals to reach their fullest potentials in the next.

Studying the lives of the Muslim scholars also provides modern-day Muslims with a portrayal of the prototypical modern scientist. He is one who devotes his efforts to discovering Allah’s signs in this world and who tries to direct his or her discoveries those that produce social benefit.

For the Westerner, it is important to change these historical inaccuracies to help improve the relations between the West and the Muslim world by finally acknowledging the enormous debt owed to the Muslims. However, as the celeritous progress of Western science pushes on, it is more likely that the increasing arrogance and faith in Western science with its purely Western (Greek) origins will keep this overdue apology from occurring. While a historian may mention "Avicenna" or "Averroes" fleetingly in one of his or her books, the problem is that what is left out is far greater than what is told. The eminent historian George Sarton criticized those who "will glibly say ‘The Arabs simply translated Greek writings, they were industrious imitators…’ This is not absolutely untrue, but is such a small part of the truth, that when it is allowed to stand alone, it is worse than a lie."

i'm still reading the 48 laws of power.very informative but at times contradict laws of Islam.very capitalistic oriented but still very informative.esp in identifying certain people's character and etc.

finally

it has been almost a week now.god i'm tired.the whole orientation week was grusome yet i saw things in a different pespective.that is a good sign of aging!muahahahahhaaaa.i'm enrolled in unikl-bmi on the july 3rd.it was on sunday.coincidently i bumped into a lobg lost face.yup,it was sir mazlan.my long lost ava teacher.him aside.as usual,i was registering myself alone.dah besar la katakan(NOT!) shortening the story, orientation commences around 630 pm.the usual screaming and shouting galore from the orientation committee(OC)...i smiled and said to myself."here we go again!"

our first pep talk took place on the volleyball court(our roll calls are held here!).the main point is that everyone there is considered to be spm leavers.oh okay, now i'm years younger!and again i smiled...so then the was dinner, the normal going to surau and ceramah and such and then off we go running to gemilang hall.penat sih.panting panting for O2!the 1st of the team building.oh!lupa we were devided into sports houses.mine is yellow.house name...brighton.oh how british.ok we slept late!and god we have to be up by5am!arghhhhhh

so now its monday.....manic!i woke up 5am.mandi-manda!the water is so so so SO bone chilling.maklumlah dok kat bukit!sungai pusu to be exact!where?yes sungai pusu.go figure.anyway, after the subuh prayers and breakfast(applies to the days to come!breakfast was ok...edible)off to hall!run run run!good news i'm still smiling.penat ooohhhhhh......lepas makan kena lari.....gilo apo!hahhahahaaaaa...anyway the usual ceramah and all.basically a week of enduring this and that.made up mostly of lari and ceramah-ceramah and motivational talks!but i had fun...the talks were good.they garb hold of good penceramahs!thanked god for that.

so like wise everything was never good enough to please the oc's.which is normal.i heard voices of dissatisfaction grumbling.normal.bottomline it was exactly what i have expected and knowing that was a sensational feeling.i helps a lot in preparing oneself to endure these thing.so think and plan ahead.i helps.the other cool factor is our drill sargeant cried and asked for forgiveness for what he had done.a human inside after all.kewl since everyone got to shake each other hands and let bygones by bygones.now we're like an extended family.true to the nature of it all.my group got to stay in the drain sebab one of our members kantoi hp!hhmmmmppppp...whats wosrt he is the group leader and muka mcm malaikat!muaahahhahaha...never judge a book by its cover.

the penceramah were mostly made up of our soon to be lecturer.yes most of them have an aura of excentrism!i find that vey pleasing.the kind of people so passionate in what they do.as they speak you can analyse their passion of nurturing young minds!one of them in sir kamal.he calls himself cikgu kamal.and we students have the option of calling him by the term cikgu or sir.i prefer cikgu actually.i managed to grab hold of him,i told him i'm really looking forward for your classes sir.he replied humbly and said insyaAllah we're go through it together.best sungguh rasanya.

actually part of me still aches here and there,i hope i'll do extremely well here and i hope my family and friends will pray for my success cause prayers is an important aspect in a muslims life!i hope all my friends succed in life and i always do!

i can't blog as much as i always do.but weekly i hope.so till next time.bye peeps

more laws?

LAW 2

NEVER PUT TOO MUCH TRUST IN FRIENDS,LEARN TO USE ENEMIES

Judgement

Be wary of friends-they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused in envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.

LAW 3

CONCEAL YOUR INTENTIONS

Judgement

Keep people off balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind your actions. If they have no clue what you are up to,they cannot prepare a defense.Guide hem far enough down the wrong path, envelop them enough smoke, and by the time they realize your intentions,it will be too late.

Hmmmpphh 3 laws out of the 48 laws of power.Frankly,I'm not going to write them all.The publisher might have issues with me!muaahahhahahaaa. It's Friday.2 days left as I shall embark on a journey to schoolhoodism(I made this word up).i was suppose to get some matters straighten up but well I didn't do so.For some reason I woke up a bit late today.I've been waking up early this week to get the body going and acclamatizing to wake up early since I'm going to be institutiolized again!Arghh...

Last night I went to Cotton Club. It's a jazzaurant(weird huh?).Basically a club playing all sort of jazz.Located at the Wisma TH(same building as UniKL).Its a jazz club and restaurant. The jazz takes place upstairs(the bar) and on the groundfloor is where the restaurant is.I like the interior of the restaurant. The bar part looks kinda jazzy...got feel la.A nice place to hang out.Actually I wet there to pick up my cousin. He works there as a chef.

No ballistic entry today,my mind is not up to pace.Till later....I shall wonder

LAW 1

NEVER OUTSHINE THE MASTER

Judgement

Always make those above you feel comfortably superior. In your desire to please and impress them,do not go too far in displaying your talents or you might accomplish the opposite-inspire fear and insecurity.Make your master appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power
